Stinger M1: Built for ultra-light utility and durability. The adjustable Stinger M1 is a lightweight euro-nymph fly reel that works with any fly rod with a tip soft enough to cast nymph flies with ESN line (1- 4wt rod is recommended).
The lightweight Stinger M1 allows greater arm extension and is guaranteed to improve dead-drift distance and casting while making your rod more sensitive to bumps and strikes.
The compact profile makes the Stinger M1 ideal for backcountry fishing. It’s CNC machined in the USA from billet 6 series aluminum. The M1 finish is type 3 MIL. SPEC hard anodize for non-glare durability. At 48 grams (1.7 oz) the M1 might be the 2nd lightest fly reel made, next to the Stinger Comp.
The Stinger M1 has adjustable components for custom ergonomics. The Spool can be positioned closer or further and the height can be raised for larger line needs.
Optional components are available for the M1, see Balance kit and 6mm Spool Riser kit. All hardware is Stainless steel. The Stinger M1 comes with our Tracer 62 Euro-nymph line/leader system pre-installed- Just add your tippet and flies.
